RBE Web Design 2011 Our Cable Television has a very small, dedicated core of volunteers who faithfully broadcast meetings, local events, and many Town Organization events month in and month out. However, they cannot be there for every occasion, and the need is strong for others to replace them from time to time. Amongst other duties, volunteers are needed to man the television cameras, work in the LCAC studio, respond to the telephone calls, and to ensure these events are rebroadcast in a timely manner. Volunteers are also needed periodically to update the electronic bulletin board on Channels 11 & 13. For many years our LCAC volunteers have broadcast these events, whom without would cease to exist, and could cease to exist, if no one steps forward to eventually succeed them. That would be a shame for our community. Don't just see TV, be TV. The first word of our Logo, community, suggests that our programming is for the community, by the community. Whether you're looking to gain practical experience needed for further education or a career change, or simply to take part in an exciting volunteer environment, Leicester Community Cable Access Television will provide you with a solid experience in television production. Our resources include a fully-equipped studio, field cameras, expertise from staffers. Volunteer: Want to be part of the action, but aren't sure how you can contribute? Intrigued by the video production process? Looking to improve your basic video production skills? Whether you want to operate cameras, direct, edit or host a program, a variety of volunteer experiences exist at LCAC. Volunteering is a great opportunity to discover career opportunities and gain hands-on experience while you help local residents and organizations present their talents and information to the community. We can use your help and find a place for you whether you're interested in operating cameras, directing, editing, or learning all aspects of a multi-camera shoot.
